Obituary For Patricia Margaret Thiessen

Patricia Margaret Thiessen, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Beaverlodge, AB, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021, at the QEII Hospital at the age of 83 years.

Born, Patricia Margaret Hollingworth, in Winnipeg, MB, on the third day of February, 1938. She was raised in Winnipeg for most of her life. She was a stay-at-home mom until most of the kids moved out and then she spent 5 years as a kindergarten Teachers Aide, and finally, she worked as a shipper and receiver at the Beaverlodge Drug store.

Patricia loved people and laughter. She was so loving and caring of others. She quite enjoyed golf, and curling, and volunteered at the United Church and also with Eastern Star and Lions Club.

Patricia will be sadly missed by her children: Doug, Sam, Dave, Jim, and Sheila; her grandchildren: Luke, Brett, Eric, Tiana, Melissa, Alexa, Christine, Macey, Tyne, and Timmothy; great-grandchildren Noelle and Rome; sister Isobel; brother Doug (Pene); and will be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Patricia was predeceased by her father Samuel, mother, Margaret, father in-law John, mother in-law Agatha, as well as her brother in-law Jack.

Memorial Donations may be made to the United Church of Canada (Box 387, Beaverlodge AB, T0H 0C0), or to the Beaverlodge Lions Club (Box 1029, Beaverlodge, AB, T0H 0C0).

    My heartfelt condolences to Pat's Family. She was an awesome person and I really enjoyed being around her. She made me feel very welcome when I joined the Beaverlodge Lions Club. She will be missed. -Bev Dean
