Obituary For Percy Badger
Percy C. Badger, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Sexsmith, AB, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 83 years.
On Saturday, January 27, 1934, the Badger family welcomed the fourth of their five sons. Percy was raised on the family farm north of Sexsmith.
Dedication to family, strong work ethics and his love of the peace area was such that he remained close to his childhood home. Although farming, logging and driving for Wheat Poole while raising a family left little time for recreation or hobbies, Percy always had time to help a friend or neighbor.
Percy retired from Wheat Poole in 1996 and left the farm in 2009. Retirement provided countless opportunities to share his love and knowledge of the peace area.
He leaves to mourn, his wife Linda; children: David (Karen), Bryan (Julie), and Donalda Delorme (James); grandchildren: Saylor, Nolan, Rachel, Lloyd, Jordan, Julien, and Coral, as well as numerous family and friends.
Cremation was entrusted to Oliver’s Funeral Home.
At his request a farewell luncheon and birthday celebration will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 2:00-4:00pm at the Sexsmith Seniors Center.
Memorial donations may be made to Sewing for Kids
(9215-101 Ave, Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 0W2), or to the charity of one’s choice.
