Peter James Dyck, resident of Hythe, Alberta, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at the Royal Alex Edmonton Hospital at the age of 78 years.

Peter was born in Carrot River, SK, on February 23, 1945 to John Henry and Aganetha Dyck. He is survived by his sons, Nathan and Aaron (Maria), and granddaughter Aurora.

Also survived by brother John Dyck, sisters Anne Redekopp, Elizabeth Redekopp, Susie Frostad, and Bertha Emard.

He was predeceased by his parents, John Henry and Aganetha Dyck; brothers, Frank and Benny; and sisters, Kay Bergner, Mary Fox, Helen Derksen, and Alma Keirs.

Peter loved working on cars and was always fixing anything that was broken. He was very musical and taught himself to play guitar, violin and banjo. Creating sand art and painting were some of his favourite hobbies. Peter’s love for Jesus and his faith were his life, which he shared freely with those around him.

He loved his two boys.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 11:00am, Savanna Agricultural Society, 81378 Range Road, 100 Silver Valley, Alberta.
