Obituary For Philip Krishka

Philip Krishka, resident of Grande Prairie, passed away Monday, March 2, 2020, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 71 years.

Philip was born in Sexsmith, AB, on August 5, 1948. He lived his whole life in the Grande Prairie area. He loved camping and helping others with any odd jobs he could. He was loving, hilarious and easy going. He always had a smile. His passion before he passed was helping with the JDA Kings hockey team.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 46 years Glenda; children Tracey (Mike), Tammy (Chuck), and Amanda (Kyle); grandchildren: Tyson, Blake Chris, and Jenna Burrows, and Justin Oliver; sisters: Linda (Ervin), Liz (Bill), Alayne, and Sandy (Merv); brother in-law Dave; in-laws: Sharon, Sylvia, Betty (Willy), Patsy (John), Robbie (Kim), Jackie (Darrell), Gary, Brent (Charlene), Judy (Brent), Lois (Dwayne), as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Philip was predeceased by his two sons William and Michael, son in-law Jason, sister Dorothy, and brother in-law Ray.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 1:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

Memorial donations may be made to the Grande Prairie JDA Kings non-profit organization.

    My sincere condolences on your loss Glenda. Although I only knew Philip through work social occasions I recall he was a very nice man, and that you always spoke about him with fondness.     I was shocked and very sorry to hear about Phil's passing. I just found out in late April as we were out of the country. Condolances to the entire family
