Obituary For Rainelle Clevenger Graham

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom Rainelle Storm Graham on Friday, December 4, 2015, at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie, AB.

Rainelle was born in Creston, BC, on June 23, 1949. Much of her youth was spent living between Canada and the US. Most notably was her stay in Ocean Fall, BC during her teenage years. Rainelle settled in Grande Prairie where she worked at the Canfor Mill for several years. In 1981 she ventured north to Fort Vermilion, AB to begin a new chapter of her life with John.

While in Fort Vermilion she worked for the School Division. In 1987 Rainelle and John moved their family to Robb, AB where she worked for the Robb Hanlan Gas Plant and Sundance Forest Industries. After 10 years Rainelle and John made their final move to Grande Prairie, AB where she spent her time caring for her mom.

Rainelle was an avid reader and was rarely seen without a book in her hands, or watching (reading) one of her crime or medical dramas on TV. She enjoyed being creative and took up knitting, quilting and sewing, creating many beautiful items that her family will continue to enjoy and cherish for generations to come. She was a force to reckon with during a game of trivial pursuit and could always be counted on for a great story.

Her love and compassion for animals was unlimited, she always had a bowl of fresh water out on her deck for any of the neighbourhood cats that happened by. Rainelle had a deep love for her family and always lit up when her grandchildren were around.

She will be missed by her daughters: Denise(Barry) Vankoughnett of Prince Albert, SK, Kathy (Dylan) St.Germain of Sexsmith, AB, Brenda Graham (Steve Thesen) of Grande Prairie, AB, and Maureen Graham (Harold Connolley) of Brownvale, AB; as well as fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Rainelle was predeceased by her mother Joan Kelley, husband John H.T. Graham, and son Victor Graham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the SPCA (12220 104 Ave, Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 8A8), or to Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue Association (8618 91 St., Grande Prairie, AB, T8X 1V6) would be greatly appreciated.
