Obituary For Randall Scott Kennedy
It is with heavy hearts we sadly announce the passing of Randy Kennedy on Monday, May 13, 2019, at the age of 66 years.
Randy was born in Dawson Creek, BC on July 31, 1952 to Mac and Ruth Kennedy. He lived in Dawson Creek and McLennan, AB before moving to Grande Prairie in 1969. He met his soulmate, Lorie Coney, in 1971 and they married in 1977.
Randy was a truck driver for a few years, then switched to being a drywall boarder and taper. He had a passion for music, playing guitar, and singing. His music will live on with his sons.
He is survived by his wife Lorie, sons Scott and Casey, daughter Lacey, mother Ruth, brother Don (Denise), sister Judy (Neil), and sister in-law Sharon (Dave) Stadnyk.
He was predeceased by his father Mac, sister Corrinne, and brothers Fred, David, and Doug.
A Memorial Gathering for friends and family will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 7:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).
A Celebration of Life is tentatively set for August 5, 2019 at the Grande Prairie Legion.
He loved BIG and was loved BIG!!
