Obituary For Randy Moe

It is with heavy hearts that we say our goodbyes to Randy, who passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the age of 64 years.

He and his wife, Kris, built their home and their life on the farm at Poplar Hill, and raised their four children there. While he had a great love of the land, his first and forever devotion was to his wife, children, and grandchildren.

He will be deeply and forever missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Kris; cherished children and grandchildren: Ryan (Lisa) and children Sophia and Nathan, Jesse (Andrea) and children Celina and Zoey, Kara (Derek) and children Gunnar and Reid, and Jocelyn (Ryan); sister Valerie (Bruce) and their family; a large and loving extended family, including numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loyal friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Gunnar and Effie Moe, and mother and father in-law Kay and George Dane.

A private family burial will be held at the Valhalla Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life, open to the public, will be held on Sunday April 15, 2018, at 1:00pm, at the Hythe Legion (10212 100 Ave.).

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society (200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 2P5), Hythe Legion (Box 626, Hythe, AB, T0H 2C0), Valhalla Lutheran Church (Box 49, Valhalla Centre, AB, T0H 3M0), or to Hythe or Beaverlodge Minor Hockey.

Dear Kris & Family, I will always remember Randy taking me under his wing as we stood up together at Roy & Donna's wedding. We spun around the dance floor and I just had a great time. He had such a great sense of humor and his eyes always gave way to his grin. Cherish your memories and may your sorrow and sadness lesson in time. Sincerely, Carrie Frey Aasland

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. Randy was a one of the nicest, gentlest people I had the privelege of knowing, and I always felt at ease around him back in my days of playing hockey with the girls, like being around another dad. I will never forget the fun times spent at your house, or having him with us at games or on trips, and his easy going, humorous personality. You guys lost him too soon, and my thoughts, as well as Conorâ??s are with you at this time. Lindsy
