Obituary For Rhonda Lynn James

Rhonda Lynn James, resident of Valleyview, AB, formerly of Vancouver, Campbell River, Castlegar and Dease Lake, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 63 years.

Rhonda was born in Calgary on December 10, 1953 to Albert and Mary James. They lived in Calgary until Rhonda was 13 and then moved to Vancouver. She finished her education there and went to work for Safeway. She remained with Safeway for many years and then found employment with London Drugs and BCLCB.

She married Wayne in 1994 and they remained in British Columbia until September of 2006, when they relocated to Valleyview for work. They resided on an acreage south of town for many years and then moved into Valleyview in 2015. She liked Valleyview and the people in it. She was proud to call it her home.

Rhonda liked to knit, loved her soap operas, loved to look after their puppies and enjoyed her flower garden on the acreage.

Rhonda will be sadly missed by her husband Wayne, father Albert and sister Lorna (Sam); stepchildren: Michelle Wright (Robert), Steven James, and Jennifer James (Yvan); as well as 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her mother Mary in 2015.

A Memorial Service will be held for Rhonda in Valleyview on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1:00pm, at the Valleyview Paradise Inn (3609 Highway St.).

Memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada (100, 12220 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton, AB, T5N 3Y4).
