Obituary For Richard Albert Cloutier
Richard Albert Cloutier resident of Grande Prairie Alberta passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Lakeview Lodge of Clairmont Alberta at the age of 68 years.
Richard was born in Smith Falls, Ontario and travelled around the country before settling in Grande Prairie, Alberta. He worked various jobs and trades before starting his long-term career with Proctor and Gamble, known today as International Paper, where he worked for 37 years.
Richards greatest interests were family time and visiting with friends. He had a great passion for fixing cars, woodworking, hunting and fishing. Nothing made him happier than travelling, particularly to Hawaii, but he was happiest when spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Richard was known for his lively personality, his sense of humor, his ability to love freely and openly. He was a selfless man, who would do anything to help his family and friends, wherever and whenever he could.
He will be missed for his stories and jokes, his comedic timing as well as his ability to keep it light even when crossing the line. He will also be missed for his unwavering ability to be there in your time of need.
He will be sadly missed by his children: Jackie Cloutier (Kelly), Tanya Gillett (Jason), Richard Cloutier (Janine), Kyle Cloutier (Jenn) and child by choice Shelby Parker (Steve).

Dear Cloutier Family, We were saddened to hear of the loss of your dear father and grandfather, Richard. It was through his sons, Richard and Kyle, and our son Cole, that we met Richard Sr., first via a Skype call, then in person, on occasions when we happened to be in Grande Prairie or Edmonton. He was very much a family man, a generous man, who opened his home to others who needed a place to stay, a man who contributed, appreciated hard workers, and who had a great sense of humour. We shared many laughs, he had a great zest for life. He will be missed. RIP Richard Sr., and when not wishing to rest, we know you will be up there 'googling', making our many guardian angels laugh too. Gord & Karen Loughlin Mountain, Ontario
