Obituary For Richard "Rick" George Beach
Richard “Rick” George Beach, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Windsor, NS, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the age of 61 years.
Rick came into the world on September 24,1963, to join his mother, Mary and older sister Beve. Rick spent his childhood and youth in Grande Prairie, leaving as an adult to reside in Red Deer, AB and Calgary, AB, however he always returned home to Grande Prairie.
Rick’s mother remarried, and the family welcomed sisters, Sandy and Darlene. Rick loved his family dearly and was a devoted son, brother and uncle.
Rick was known for his infectious humour; he brought a sense of joy to all who knew him. He was always kind and caring, even during difficult times.
Rick was known for his long curly locks of red hair, which became a defining trait throughout his life. Rick loved adventure, at one time travelling on a whim to Jamaica to stay for six weeks. He came back with some incredible stories that could only be told “Rick-style”
Rick leaves behind to mourn his sisters and their children: Beve (David and Trayzee), Sandy (Destiny, Jessie and Rai), Darlene (Cody); numerous great-nephews and nieces. He also holds a special place in the hearts of his life-long friend, Sandy, with whom he shared a soul connection with, and also Jamie and Brandon, whom Rick was a stepfather to during their childhood and continued to share a close relationship into their adulthood.
Rick was predeceased by his mother Mary, who will be holding her only son so close as he joins her.
Please join the family to celebrate Rick’s life on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11:30 am, at Oliver’s Funeral Home (10005 – 107 Ave, Grande Prairie, AB)
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider donating to Wapiti House (https://wapitihouse.ca/donate/).
