Obituary For Rita Courtoreille Testawitch

Rita Testawitch, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Fort St. John, BC, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019, at her home in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 94 years.

Rita was born on December 24, 1924, in Fort Vermilion, AB. She lived most of her life in northern British Columbia, spending most of her time sewing, making moccasins, and hunting.

She was strong, caring, loving, giving and generous. She’d give the shirt off her back for everybody. Her hobbies included beading, sewing, hunting, making dry meat, and making and selling moccasins.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Wayne (Caroline), Romeo, Ronnie, and George (Peggy); in-laws: Yvonne, Karen, Delores, Phillip, Michelle, Shara-lynn, Lucas, and Kylie; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; brothers Bill and Frank; sons: Lloyd, Clayton, Lynch, Rusty and Donnie.

A Viewing will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019, at 9:00am at Christian Fellowship Assembly (11449 92 St., Grande Prairie).

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019, at 11:00am at Christian Fellowship Assembly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help alleviate funeral expenses.
