Obituary For Robert Glen Haugseth

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Robert Glen Haugseth, at the age of 62, on Sunday, March 23, 2025.

Robert was born in Grande Prairie AB, to Stan and Olive Haugseth. Being the youngest of four siblings, Robert, kept his mom busy. When he was two, they moved to Smithers BC. This, however, did not last long before they returned to Grande Prairie. His greatest regret, when he was five, is that he did not get to go to kindergarten when all his friends got to go.

After he received his ticket for Carpentry he married Tracy Stark on October 11, 1986. They had two children. Andrew born October 28, 1987 and passed on March 27, 2022. Their youngest son Devon was born on April 20, 1990.

Robert worked for Henry Hamm at Dirham Construction for many years before starting a home renovation and home inspection company. He loved doing home inspections as he could dictate how much to work and was very proud of his knowledge and good reputation in the field.

In 2006 Robert found out he was going to be a granddad. He wasn’t ready but loved his granddaughter, Jamie Ryan, very much. His favorite memory was playing princess papa in his chair. The last few years he has enjoyed working in the garage doing all kinds of wood projects.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Tracy, his son Devon and his granddaughter Jamie Ryan, his sister Ellen (Don) Nellis, sister Ann Hall, brother David (Maggie) Haugseth, mother-in-law Ev Stark, sisters-in-laws Donna (Richard) Tate, Joan Stark and Jackie Stark. Also, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews as well many good friends.

He was predeceased by his son Andrew, father Stan, mother Olive and father-in-law Doug Stark.

I know he would not want a funeral service where everyone is sad so I have decided to do a Celebration of Life where we can all tell our funny stories about Robert. Everyone has at least one.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 between 2-4 at the Jackpot Grill & Events Centre (10904 92 Ave Grande Prairie, AB)

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice that you are passionate about or plant a tree in Robert’s honor.
