Obituary For Robert Harris Scott
Robert Harris Scott, resident of Grande Prairie Care Center in Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Crooked Creek, AB passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 90 years.
Robert was born in Edmonton, AB on April 18, 1929. In 1934/35 the Scott family moved to homestead in Crooked Creek, AB. Robert was raised on the farm and sawmill.
Robert’s passion was playing the Banjo with his brother’s band in local areas. In the 80’s Robert played a huge role in Crooked Creek and Area coaching softball and organizing softball tournaments, building bleachers and grounds. He was a gentle, soft talking soul.
He will be sadly missed by his children: David (Lois) of Vulcan, AB, Garry of Grande Prairie, AB and Judy (Jules) of Grande Prairie, AB; grandchildren: Matthew, Monika, Karl, Joel, Mason, Brandon and Bethany; siblings: Jackie, Mary and Jean; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Alice Scott, ex-wife Elizabeth Scott, as well as many brothers, sisters, brothers in-law and sisters in- law.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 1:00pm at DeBolt Seniors Center, DeBolt, AB.
