Obituary For Robert Ranson
Robert W. Ranson, resident of Grande Prairie Care Centre, formerly of Hythe and Lethbridge, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018, at the age of 77 years.
Robert was born May 28, 1940 in Lethbridge, AB.
He was an avid lover of sports, especially the GPRC Wolves basketball and volleyball teams.
He will be sadly missed by his family: sister Dorothy Van Schaick and her children: George (Carol) Van Schaick, Dwayne (Sandra) Van Schaick and their children Brett (Elisha) and Ty (Mackenzie), Linda (Brad) Paetkau and their child Andrew. He is also survived by sister in-law Vera and her children: Dianne (Colin) Tuckey and Debbie Ranson. He also leaves behind great great-nieces Wynter and Kadence.
Robert was predeceased by his parents Tom and Hannah Ranson, brothers Carl and Tom, as well as brother in-law Alfred Van Schaick.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018, from 1:30-3:30pm, at Salvation Army Community Church in Grande Prairie (9525 83 Ave.).
