Obituary For Ronald Fester

Ron passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016, in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 69 years.

Ron is survived by his two daughters: Trina (Brad) Binks and Colleen (Steve) Howell; brothers and sisters: Peggy McLeod, Dorothy Deleff, John (Alice), Ken (Christine), and Diane (Rodney) Lindemann.

Ron was predeceased by his wife Yvonne, sister Joan Small, brothers in-law Bill Deleff, George Small, Ken McLeod and parents Rudolph and Margaret Fester.

Trina and Colleen would like to thank Dr. Wiens, Dr. Mizzau, and all of the nursing staff on 4 South at QEII Hospital for the wonderful care given to Dad.

There will be no service at this time. Interment will be at a later date.

Burgess Ken

Ron was never one to be out of work in the County shop and I always made sure when I flopped the plow trucks in the winter season or left the blade on the railway tracks, that Ron was always there ready to grab his big parka to get me back on the road. His only words were "Kenny, Kenny, Kenny!" I had a laugh on him though one day when he admitted to putting laundry soap in the dishwasher at home to help Yvonne out. I said Ronny, Ronny, Ronny! He was a kind and lovable man and I will never forget his deeds and stories.
