Ron Welder, resident of Lakeview Senior’s Home in Clairmont, AB, formerly of Regina, SK, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 75 years.

Ron was born June 30, 1945, to his parents Mike and Walburga Welder, in Regina, SK.

He was a jack-of-all-trades. Ron was a car salesman, Fields store manager, ambulance driver, volunteer fireman, and RCMP dispatcher/guard.

Ron always had a joke ready to tell, or a car show to go to. He loved classic cars, enjoyed building models, playing pool, and loved planning and organizing events such as car shows, raffles, etc.

He will be sadly missed by his children: Michelle (Sheldon) Boyd of Grande Prairie, Kevin (Shannon) Welder of Prince George, BC, Trevor (Amanda) Welder of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren: Ashley, Caleigh, Chris, Madison, Kayden, Chase, and Camryn; as well as great-grandchildren: Auron, Cashis, Dawson, and Gracelyn.

Ron was predeceased by his loving wife Karen May in 2011.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Regina, SK, in the spring.
