Obituary For Rose "Yvonne" Floreani
Yvonne Floreani, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Sexsmith, AB, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Mackenzie Place, at the age of 91 years.
Yvonne was born in White Mountain, AB, and raised in the Woking area. She and her husband Angelo raised their family on the farm in the Sexsmith area. She had a beautiful voice, loved singing, and was choir leader at Immaculate Conception Church in Sexsmith for many years. Yvonne was an avid gardener and loved carpentry and sewing.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Diane (Randy) Horneland, Raymond (Peggy) Floreani, Angela (Jeff) Hallowes, and Loren (Andrea) Floreani; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive Yvonne.
She was predeceased by her husband Angelo Floreani and her brother Gordon Otto.
A Viewing will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 10:00am, at Immaculate Conception Church in Sexsmith. Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00am.
A Livestream of the service will be accessible 15 minutes prior to the service on Yvonne’s obituary on Oliver’s Funeral Home website. **Please note the internet connection is weak at the church and we experience issues with the live-stream. If so, we will place an edited version of the Funeral Mass in the coming days on her obituary page.**
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta (100-119 14 St. NW, Calgary, AB, T2N 1Z6), or to a charity of one’s choice.
