Sandy Karpo, longtime resident of Culp, AB, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 85 years.

Sandy was born on the family farm on January 1, 1938, to Fred and Annie Karpo of Culp. He was the second youngest of five children. Sandy attended the Culp School and then Girouxville School. He drove truck a few years before he settled on the family farm, where he farmed for the next 60 years!

Sandy’s interests were hunting, fishing, camping, and playing cards with friends. He was a very talented guitar player.

Sandy will be sadly missed by his wife Vera; children: Sandra (Wade) McDonald, and Warren (Pat); as well as his brother John Karpo, and sister Alice Purcha.

Sandy was predeceased by his parents Fred and Annie Karpo; brother George Karpo; sister in-law Velma Karpo; sister Julie Hupka; brother in-law Nick Hupka; nephew Brian Hupka; as well as father and mother in-law Albert and Lucy Boreen;

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 1:00pm, at the Pleasant Heights Cemetery, in Eaglesham, AB.

Please join the family following the service for a time of fellowship and refreshments at the Eaglesham Senior Social Centre.
