Sharon Dianne Potratz, resident of Spirit River, AB, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 2, 2021, in Spirit River at the age of 76 years.

Sharon was born and raised in Spirit River by her parents William and Elsie Lindsay. She met Gordon in Mary Youngs Café in May of 1965. They were married on May 14, 1965. Sharon and Gordon bought the family farm in 1966, and lived there for 39 years. Together they raised 5 children.

Sharon will be sadly missed by her children: Walter Potratz (Andrea) and his son William; Wesley Potratz and his daughter Elicia; Crystal Potratz (Dallas Martin) and their daughter Emma; Carol Martin and her daughters Harper and Kailey; and son in-law Greg and his children Kyle and Katherine; as well as sister Madge (Harvey) Runzer.

Sharon was predeceased by her husband Gordon Potratz; daughter Roxanne Lynn Simonson, parents William and Elsie Lindsay, brothers: James Lindsay, Wesley Lindsay, and Bob Lindsay; as well as sister Shirley Hudson.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 2:00pm, at the Spirit River Town Cemetery.
