Obituary For Sherman Jaeger
Sherman Jaeger, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Manning, AB, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2023, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 57 years.
Sherman was born September 24, 1965, in Manning where he was also raised. His career was in the Oil and Gas Industry where he became extremely well known.
Sherman was goofy, loving, giving, charismatic, caring, and understanding. He had an extreme love for his children and grandchildren.
He enjoyed leather, and woodworking, tending to flowers, car shows, drag races, mud bogs, sledding, quadding, family time, and camping.
He will be sadly missed by his father Leo Jaeger; children: Tania (Troy), Crystal (Bray), and Chris (Jamie); sisters: Pam Sims, Debbie (Marty) Doll, and Michelle (Julien) Vachon; honorary brother Curtis (Brenda) Jaeger; grandchildren: Sierra, Kayden, Mayson, Taylon, Thaine, Jaxon, Aria, Emmet, and Brooks; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sherman was predeceased by his uncle Dwayne Brink; grandparents: Ralph Collins (killed in action WWII), Helen Brink, Melvin Brink, Val Jaeger, Berth Jaeger; mother Carries Collins; and nephew Corey Jaeger.
A Celebration of Life for Sherman will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 11:00 am, at 723028 RR62, Clairmont, AB.
Memorial donations may be made to Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation Pediatric Fund (11205 110 St, Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 4B1, supportyourhospital.ca).
Things we loved: ~ His love for the History Channel ~ Wild Amazon orders ~ Old Country/Rock Music ~ His ability to tell endless stories and forever telephone goodbyes ~ Listening to his Audiobooks ~ Stubbornness to always buy lunch ~ For a man who loved flowers, he sure killed them a lot ~ Yearly tradition of singing us “Happy Birthday” ~ Obsession with Lottery Tickets ~ Stepping on ducks ~ continuous pestering towards grandchildren ~ The need to give every grandkid a nickname ~ His joking around ~ Thaine ~ The extra dad that some needed in their life ~ Kayden ~ Made grandsons feel like young men ~ Mayson ~ Was always positive no matter the situation ~ Sierra ~ Always loved to give his grandkids candy and make them laugh ~ Aria ~When Papa would sing the chicken wing son ~ Jax ~ Papas tickles and brunch together ~ Emmet ~ When Papa came to my house for Christmas and he gave me nice hugs ~ Brooks ~ The fact that he never trusted a bank and always had to carry cash

when i was younger i would hang out with him and have sleepovers at his house all the time and every morning he would take me the denny's so i could have chocolate chip pancakes he was the best papa in the world i couldn't of asked for a better papa. oh yeah and u can't forget the POSION POSION in the restaurants😂
