Obituary For Sheryll Faye Patterson
With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Sheryll Patterson, on Friday, December 8, 2023, in Grande Prairie, AB, at Points West Hospice, with family by her side, at the age of 65 years.
Sheryll was born August 8, 1958, in Hythe, AB, and was raised on a farm in Demmitt, with her six siblings.
Sheryll graduated from Beaverlodge Regional High School in 1976, and moved to Grande Prairie, where she met the love of her life, William (Billy) Patterson. In 1979 they moved onto Billy’s family farm in Bezanson, where they raised their two beautiful daughters, Raina and Stacey. She was very passionate about her new occupation and continued to work with A1 License for as long as she was able. After Billy retired in 2008, they took many memorable vacations together. Travelling to the east coast of Canada, Hawaii, Vancouver Island, and Florida, where she was able to watch her beloved Blue Jays play.
Sheryll made many lasting friendships and connections through her love of square dancing, curling, slow-pitch, karate, as well as through organizations such as TOPS.
Sheryll will be dearly missed by her husband Billy Patterson; daughters Raina Draper (Shaye), and Stacey Morris (Jaime); stepsons Jason Patterson and Dustin Alstead; brothers Brock (Val), Lyle (Fay), Ken (Charmaine), Shane (Rene), and Carmen (Jennifer) Sipe; sister Charlene Sipe-Rieck (Larry); brothers-in-law Danny (Brenda), and Leslie (Cindy) Patterson; grandchildren: Austin Patterson, Jemma and Sophia Draper, Ryder, Corbyn, Xander, and Sterling Morris, Jagger Rhotinski, and Keaton Patterson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Please accept my sincere sympathies. Sheryll was just lovely, inside and out...........like a warm light shining through the trees. Her sense of humour and caring ways benefited our Tops group and everyone she touched with her good cheer and kindness. She sparkled as she spoke of her children and grand babies. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers as you deal with this tragic loss. Orma-Jean Shmyruk

I will never forget this beautiful, kind lady. I became friends with her in 1986 when she was my oldest daughter bus driver. She always had a smile and a wicked sense of humour. Her honesty and genuine caring and compassionate soul will be forever a beautiful memory to me. Whenever our paths crossed we would always be able to pick up where we left off in our friendship. She always shared a hug and spoke of love for her husband and family. My condolences to all that were blessed to know her.
