Shirley Jean Johnson (nee Sutherland) passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Stony Plain, AB, at the age of 88 years.

Mom was born November 17, 1929.

She leaves behind her five sons: Jim Carpenter (Tina) of Alberta Beach, AB, Gary (Nancy) Carpenter of Devon, AB, Randy (Kristine) Carpenter of Grande Prairie, AB, Kim (Candice) Carpenter of Grande Prairie, AB, and Bob (Seraphina) Carpenter of Ponteix, SK; and daughter Heather (David) Rhine of Alberta Beach, AB. She had many grandchildren who she loved and cherished also: Cody, Jason, Michael, Cory, Kenny, Kristin, Rory, Candace, Willy, Justin, Holly, Erin, Kaylee; and Satoris; as well as many great-grandchildren: Trevor, Tatianna, Byron, Cameron, Sienna, Ryder, Willow, Jack, Noah, Ayla, Sophia, and Stella.

Mom was predeceased by her daughter Candace in 1983; two sons: Jerry in 1953, and Owen in 2017; and husband Leonard Johnson in 2008.

Our Mother was a rock, a friend (later in life...lol), but first and foremost, she was our MOM.

Come and share in her Celebration of Life on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at 2:00pm, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grande Prairie, AB (9929 105 Ave.). Pastor David Friesen, a family friend will officiate. Luncheon to follow.

Interment will be at a later date with family.
