Simon was born in Fairview, AB on October 18, 1975, and lived in Grimshaw, AB until moving to Grande Prairie in 1991.

He became a carpenter and had a passion for framing houses. He moved into the oilfield business where he worked as a machine operator, pipeliner and managed field operations for numerous companies.

He leaves to mourn his loving son Britt, father Brian (Linda), sisters Joanne and Emma (Darryl), and special friend Brenda Bartram-Enders, along with nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was predeceased by his mother Paula in 2005.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017, at 1:00pm, at Christ Church Anglican in Grande Prairie (6610 Poplar Drive).

I live in Manning, AB but I purchased a home in Clairmont and my daughter Carolee Fasick & Mark Moores are good friends with Simon and he was always out there so I got to know him about 3 yrs ago. I'm 63 yrs old and I just loved to have Simon over as he loved my cooking and he was just at my house for Thanksgiving. It was so funny as I said Simon what kind of pie would you like for dessert. He told me to surprise him so I gave him a dessert dish with 3 different kinds and he laughed and laughed. He would always say hi mom when he seen me and always willing to do anything a person asked. My son Peter and I golfed with him in the Clairmont golf tournament this summer and we had so much fun with him. My son says Simon is always texting me and we talk about hockey. Simon mentioned to Carolee that this Christmas he was thinking of taking a run up to Manning during Christmas as I had Christmas last year in Clairmont but having it in Manning this year and I was so looking forward to him coming up and spending some time with the all of us. He was like a son to me and I cant believe he is gone and I am so going to miss him. But I have all these wonderful memories. You have my deepest sympathy
