It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Simone on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the age of 87 years.

Simone was born on June 3, 1931 in Spiritwood, SK and was the second oldest of six children born to Wilfred Marin and Juliette (nee Pilion).

Simone had a passion for sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening, and a love for baking. Family and friends will never forget her homemade cinnamon buns and perogies.

She worked as an x-ray developer in The Pas, Manitoba for over 20 years before she moved to Grande Prairie where she resided until her passing.

She will be dearly missed by her family, daughter Ida Buchberger; grandchildren: Billy (Terri) and Bobbie; great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Tyler, Kyle and Braydin.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018, from 2:00-4:00pm with the program starting at 2:30pm (10002 Saxony Road, Grande Prairie).
