Dear Auntie Barbara, Brenda and Eric, Kathy and Jack, Lori and Derek and your families: As we cannot be there, Fred and I wish you offer all of you our deepest condolences and remember Uncle Stanley a little. Uncle Stanley had a presence, a congenial, good-hearted one, but one that was sharp and perceptive and witty. His intelligence and interest in the world around him was always evident, as was his strong sense of family and community. I remember the lively discussions of the economic and political landscape of the time at family and social gatherings of which Uncle Stanley was an able and knowledgeable participant. And of course, there was the music. Uncle Stanley, Uncle Allan, Mom, and Grandpa playing their instruments and singing, and Grandma with her lovely soprano voice, the music flowing so effortlessly from them. A wonderful memory indeed. We wish you comfort at this time in all your memories and know that he will be greatly missed. All our love, Fred and Lila and family
