Obituary For Stephen "Paul" Cluett
Stephen “Paul” Cluett, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Frenchmen’s Cove, NL, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021, in Grande Prairie at the age of 45 years.
Paul was raised in Frenchmen’s Cove, and started school in Garnish, then attended elementary and high school in Salt Pond, NL. He completed a carpentry trade at Trades College. Paul fished with his father for a few years before he moved o Boston where he worked for a moving company. Paul eventually moved to Grande Prairie and worked in the oil patch until his passing.
Paul was a hardcore Calgary Flames fan as well as a Toronto Blue Jays fan. He was an avid camper who enjoyed riding his quad with his sons Mason and Morgan. Paul idolized his sons and was dedicated to attending their hockey games. He was also a loving son who checked in with his parents every day.
Paul’s friends are heartbroken and claim that his heart was as big as his smile and his laugh. He was easy to be around, and always a load of fun.
Paul will be sadly missed by his mother and father Donna and Harvey Cluett; sons Mason Cluett, and Morgan Cluett (Lolita Hoddinott); brothers William (Susan) Cluett, and Justin Cluett; sister Miranda (Raymond) Sullivan; niece and nephews: Madison, Liam, and Daniel; many aunts and uncles; special friends David Galliott, and David Pittman; best friends Larry and Arlette McQuiggan; as well as many beloved friends at home in Newfoundland, and in Alberta.
Paul was predeceased by his daughter Macy Katrina Cluett.
Interment will be held at a later date in Newfoundland.
Memorial Donations may be made to a trust fund for Paul’s sons Mason and Morgan (d.scluette@live.com).
