Obituary For Terra Jane O'Connor

Terra Jane O’Connor, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Edmonton, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at the age of 60 years.

Terra was born August 18, 1958 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, AB. She was the third daughter of Dawson Henry and Lillian Victoria Butler. She lived in Edmonton until the age of 16 when she moved to the family acreage in Barrhead.

Terra completed the nursing program and worked as an RNA in Beaverlodge and Grande Prairie where she met her husband Ron. Together they had four children and 6 grandchildren. She worked in the Retail industry over the last 20 years where she made many dear friends.

She was known for her wild, red-headed temper. Terra was an avid reader, enjoyed picnics with family, and baking; she kept the cookie jar full at all times.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Ron; children: Dani, Rhonda (Dylan), Bernard (Tiffany), and Shane (Emily); and grandchildren: Rygel, Talon, Gunner, Molly, William, and Jameson.

She was predeceased by her father Dawson, mother Lillian, father in-law Bernard, and brother in-law Alex Williamson.

A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at 6:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 10:00am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.).

Memorial donations may be made to Grande Prairie Hospice Palliative Care Society (Box 21215, Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 6W7) or to Grande Prairie Cancer Centre (C/O Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation 10409 98 St., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 2E8).
