On Wednesday, April 27, 2016, Theodore Hendrikus Vant Erve of Grande Prairie, formerly of Hawk Hills, AB, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 years.

Ted will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years Matilda, their children: Lucy (Denis) Bandet, Richard (Tawnya), Theo (Debbie), Valerie (Darrel) Johnson, Dennis (Lana), Rita (Ben) Peters, Martin (Adriane), Amy Sheehan. Ted will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren: Nathaniel, Dmitri, Breanna, Mischa, Noah, Rylee, Sheena, Taneda, Kamber (Clint), Chandra (Shain), Trista (Tyson), Danae, Larissa, Nerissa, Avery (Tiffany), Lily, Graeme, Whitley, Miriah and Jordana; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers: Gerard (Henrietta) and Herman (Christine); sisters in-law: Mary Vant Erve and Antonia Vant Erve; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Ted was predeceased by his brothers Albert and Bill, his parents and 5 siblings in Holland.

A Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at 7:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016, at 10:00am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.).

Interment to follow at Grande Prairie Cemetery (84^th Ave. and 112^th St.).
