Obituary For Theresa "Terri" Carruthers

Terri slipped away from us on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at the age of 69 years, after a brief illness of pneumonia. Although Terri was plagued with MS, she kept a positive outlook on life, never complained, and charmed all she met with her infectious smile, sunny disposition, and kind and loving heart.

Terri was born February 24, 1950 and grew up in the Two Hills area. She moved to the Peace Country in the late 1970’s. She was employed with AGT/Telus for the majority of her life until her illness was diagnosed and she left on disability.

Left with sadness, but interspersed with wonderful memories, are her children, daughter Karla Francis and son Corey Carruthers; grandchildren: Kaiden, Landon and Anna; mother Martha Kereluk of Vegreville; sisters Marlene Lakusta of Edmonton, and Judy Stephaniuk of Ottawa.

She was predeceased by her husband Jim Carruthers, father Peter Kereluk, and sister Patricia Mogul.

Thank you to all the staff and residents of Rotary Manor in Dawson Creek, BC, and the Grande Prairie Care Centre, especially Jamie, her shopping companion. A special thank you to her childhood and lifelong friend, Judy Kokotilo-Bekkerus, who was at her bedside during Terri’s final hours.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
