Tom Sheppard, resident of Hythe Pioneer Home, formerly of Rio Grande, AB, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016, at the Beaverlodge Hospital, at the age of 92 years.

Tom was born February 8, 1924 in Grande Prairie. He was raised in Rio Grande, AB, educated at Caribou School and then High School in Grande Prairie. He spent his adult life hay and grain farming with a full complement of livestock. Tom was a good farmer and very much enjoyed his farming life. He was an excellent neighbour and friend to all and a strong supporter of all community events and undertakings.

Tom remained a single man and was an outstanding, loving son to his mother Laura and Father John, all of their lives.

Tom took great pleasure in his retirement years in Traveling Canada, USA, and the Caribbean.

He will be sadly missed by the many, many folks who had the pleasure of knowing Tom, a true gentleman of outstanding character and integrity.

Tom was predeceased by his father John Sheppard and mother Laura Sheppard.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 11:00am at Church of St. Patrick in Rio Grande, AB.
