Obituary For Thomas "Tom" Robert McKay
Tom McKay, long-time resident of Hinton Trail, AB, and recently of Beaverlodge, AB, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the age of 89 years.
Tom was born on September 28, 1935, at the family farm in Hinton Trail. He spent many years driving truck, farming, and operating graders. In his spare time, he enjoyed curling and golfing.
Tom is survived by his wife of 64 years, Alice; children: Cindy (Wayne) and Douglas (Laurie), grandsons Brodie (Shelby) and Ross; great-grandchildren Hallie and Jacob; special family friends Bruce and Doreen Dunbar, and Walter and Gloria Disney; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, Vic and Violet; brother Earl; as well as sisters: Jean Quinn, Alice McGuffin and Marguerite Schneider.
As per Tom’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. Burial will take place at a later date.
