Obituary For Tyler William Tiedemann
Tyler Tiedemann, resident of Grande Prairie, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017, near Grande Prairie, at the age of 32 years.
Born October 31, 1984 at the Royal Alexandria Hospital in Edmonton, Tyler spent his first 8 years in DeBolt and then relocated to Tofield from 1992-1997. The Tiedemann family returned to their farm near Crooked Creek where he carried out his teenage years. After high school he would spend the majority of his adult life working in the oilfield. It was during this time that Tyler found a love for the solitude of outdoors.
Modesty and loyalty are synonymous with Tyler. Tyler was a thoughtful and independent man who never wanted to be an imposition, and graced the people around him with unprecedented kindness. Always a gentle soul with paramount respect for family, peers and loved ones, he blessed the lives of those who were lucky enough to know him. Tyler will always be in our hearts with his shy grin, soft demeanor and witty quips that made him so lovable and one of a kind.
Tyler loved drinking coffee and visiting with his family. Family meant everything to Tyler and Tyler meant everything to our family. He followed political events closely, and enjoyed working. On his days off he would go to the shooting range and often took part in competitions. We are very proud of our Tyler and the man he became. He is forever in our hearts.
Tyler will be sadly missed by his parents Jacalyn and Brent, brother Dale, sister Ashley (Neil), nephew Grayson, Grandma Marla, and Grandpa Jock (Joan); uncles: Gordy (Alison), Roy (Sheila), Bill (Helene), Mark (Joanne) and Rod (Oksana); cousins: Dave (Lindsey), Brian (Tara), Gail (Tyson) Alex (Becky), Jessica (Gabe), Marshal, Spencer (Jasmine), Rebecca (Nick) and Sarah; all of his cousin’s children, and his friends.
He was predeceased by his Grandma Helen Tiedemann, Grandpa Gordon Klassen, and cousin Garrett Klassen.
A Celebration of Tyler's Life will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 1:00pm, at People's Church in Grande Prairie (11850 108 St.).
In lieu of flowers, Tyler's family asks that memorial donations be made to the Grande Prairie Suicide Prevention Resource Centre (#200, Nordic Court, 10014 99 Street, T8V 3N4).

I have thought about my friendship with Tyler from time to time over the years. We were friends in junior high in Tofield. I remember his kindness, and his introverted nature. We spent a night making prank calls, listening to music, playing computer games, and sneaking beers. I remember laughing with him. I wondered for years what he was doing. I am sad, to know the sadness he felt. Godspeed Tyler.

We are so very saddened to hear of your loss. We remember Tyler as a quiet and gentle young man, and Kendell remembers his great sense of humour. We will be praying that you will find comfort knowing that Tyler is at a happy place - maybe even singing in the choir with Grandpa Oscar, and Grandma Helen at the piano! We regret that we will be unable to attend the service for Tyler, but just know that we will be holding you in our hearts and in our prayers, both during the service, and in the days and months to follow. With love and our deepest sympathies, Carrie & Robert.
