I met Vera at age 15 and she was 29, I was told lol Right from the start I could tell she was the most loving mother to her kids.... it was evident in everything she did. Over the years I grew up with Vera and all her kids. I have the most wonderful memories of family...Family dinners, family barbecues, family birthday parties...... and the best potato salad ever!!!!! Having left my family to move to Grande Prairie at 16 with Keith, Vera became my mom, too. Her family traditions are now my own with my boys, Denny and Dylan. They were lucky to have her as a grandma.... as were all her grandkids because loved her grandkids as fiercely as she loved her kids. Both my boys have such loving memories of their grandma.... I always knew spring was here when gramma went picking crocuses with the kids!!!! When my mama passed she offered the motherly love I needed and never stopped doing that, even after I was no longer her daughter-in-law. I can never forget her acknowledging my role as her grandkids mother and the fact that Motherâ??s Day was hard for me since my mom was gone. That is a kind heart and I will never forget it. I loved and respected her. Her loss has saddened me and my heart hurts for all of her kids, grandkids, great grandkids and extended family. She will be missed by all who loved her, myself included. I just know she is watching us all from heaven with pride and love. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May she Rest In Peace. xoxo
