Violet Marguerite Goodswimmer, resident of Sturgeon Lake, AB, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Valleyview Hospital, at the age of 78 years. She is joining her husband of 60 years, Edward Goodswimmer.

She was born and raised in Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation. She had numerous jobs in her lifetime and was an entrepreneur. She owned a cab company, school buses with her late husband, and a laundromat.

Violet was a loving, caring, supportive, energetic, and spiritual lady. She enjoyed hunting, trapping, cooking, sewing, and was an avid fan of hockey and ball. She loved music and playing her guitar.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Clyde (Flo), Floyd (Amber), Albert (Wilma), Brian, Jeannie, Florynce, Terry, Richard, and Wendell; grandchildren and great-grandchildren too numerous to mention; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Edward; parents Albert and Constance Badger; brothers: Johnny, Norman, and Phillip; sisters: Bella, Flo, Jean, and Annie; grandsons: Deiter, David, and Ruebin; and son Walter.

A Viewing will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018, at 5:00pm, at Valleyview Evangel Pentecostal Temple (Highway St. 4002).

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 1:00pm, at Valleyview Evangel Pentecostal Temple.
