Obituary For Walter Norman Kaftan
Walter Kaftan, resident of Lakeview Lodge, in Clairmont, AB, formerly of Bay Tree, AB, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, at the age of 89 years.
Walter was born on May 2, 1932, in Bay Tree, AB, and raised there as well. He was a farmer, a hotshot and drove pilot cars. He was also a truck driver for many years.
He enjoyed fishing, horseshoeing, and restoring antique cars.
Walter will be sadly missed by his grandson Michael Kaftan and brother Ted Kaftan, as well as his friends.
Walter was predeceased by his wife Bernice; son Greg Kaftan; grandson Victor; as well as parents Michael and Katherine Kaftan.
Due to Covid, a private Graveside Service will be held at the Spirit River Cemetery.
