With deep sorrow, the family of Wayne Albert Reid announces his peaceful passing on Thursday, January, 28, 2016 at the Points West Hospice in Grande Prairie, Alberta, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 54 years.

He was a licensed automotive mechanic (graduate of Fairview College) who worked for Windsor Ford for 30 years.

He was a real gentleman, kind, generous, smart, and witty, with a great sense of humour.
Wayne is survived by his 92 year old mother Marie, siblings: Edwin (Manijeh) of Calgary, Janet (Jim) Smith of Grande Prairie, Norman of Sooke BC, and Sharon of Calgary; nephew Rene Reid, and niece Tricia Honing.
He was predeceased by his father Joseph (1993) and infant brother Brent (1966).
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at 1:00pm, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.).
Thank you to the kind and compassionate staff of the Points West Hospice.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream.” - Mark Twain
Light Hearted, Kind and Generous.

Marie and Family, please accept my deepest sympathies, I just read today of Wayne's passing and was saddened to see that he left this world much too soon. I remember walking to Avondale school with Wayne and Janet when we first moved from Edmonton to Grande Prairie in 1972. Wayne was a great person, may he rest n peace.
