Wayne Stanley Horseman, resident of Horse Lake First Nation, AB, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital in Beaverlodge, AB, at the age of 66 years.

Wayne was born in Beaverlodge on August 3, 1955, he was one of fourteen children born to Jean Horseman. He grew up in Horse Lake. Wayne worked in different capacities, from labourer to the Fire Chief, which he most enjoyed. Wayne was dedicated and got along with most people.

Wayne loved to laugh, he was easygoing and made friends very easily. He enjoyed all sports, whether he was playing or just watching. He played fastball, hockey, broomball, and slow pitch. Wayne coached little league every once in awhile as well.

Wayne will be sadly missed by his children: Tara (Tracy), Tony (Helen), and Destiny; numerous grandchildren; as well as his godchild Bobby Horseman.

Wayne was predeceased by his mom Jean; dad Dave Gray; brothers: Joe, Jackie, and Bobby Horseman; as well as sisters: Valerie Jenzen, Delia Horseman, and Mavis Bellerose.

A Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 11:00–1:00pm, at Horse Lake Arena. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:30pm, at Horse Lake Arena. Interment will take place at the Horse Lake First Nation Cemetery.
