Obituary For Wilfred "Willy" Austin Hawkesworth

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Wilfred Austin Hawkesworth, on Monday, April 24, 2023.

Born on April 17, 1940, he was the son of the late Bruce and Marion Hawkesworth.

He leaves behind his 5 children: Tony, Suzanne (Barry Baker), Gary, Lolita (Darrell Adams), and Vonda (Wade Dedio); special daughter in-law Gail Clish; only sister; Evelyn (Gary Morine); grandchildren: Dwayne Seary, Brandy Hawkesworth, Natalie (AJ Cochran), Melissa Adams, Darrell Jr. Adams (Heather Parker), Kyle Seary, Joshua Adams, Cierra Dedio, Andrea Dedio, Tami (Mike Schneider), and David Clish ; great-grandchildren: Kaleb, Tyson, Jacob and Grayson Cochran, Parker and Hunter Adams, Jalesse and Javaun Adams, Brynlee Seary, and Hope Adams; nephew Shane Morine (Tracy Huntley); niece Cindy (Todd Benjamin); great-nieces Emma and Megan Morine; as well as great-nephew Manning Benjamin.

He was predeceased by his parents Bruce and Marion; infant sister Marjorie; his wife Joan; and sweet soul Jayden Stewart.

Better known as Willy he had lots of loves in his life. His first was his wife Joannie of 50 years, second was family and friends, third was hunting and fishing, and last but not least, being a trucker! He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

To honour Wilfred’s wishes, there will be no visitations or funeral service.

The family will be preparing a proper send off later in June, to celebrate his life.

We would like to thank the staff at South Valley Senior Residence for the excellent care and attention that was given to Dad each and every day he lived there. Job well done!
