Obituary For William "Bill" Vincent Forbes D'Onofrio
In loving memory of Bill D’Onofrio, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, who passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, after a long series of illness, at the age of 78 years.
Bill was born on September 8, 1943, in Edinburgh, Scotland, and moved to Canada in 1960. He met and married Brenda in 1963, and they had five children. Bill was very proud of all of his children.
Bill travelled across Canada many times and worked in 4 provinces and the NWT. He was very well liked in all his jobs and had a very good work reputation. Bill was very proud that he obtained his Red Seal Mechanics Certificate in his late 40’s and his Metis status.
He loved fishing, camping, bagpipes, music, and collected model trains. He gave hugs with an “I love you” to all the family, and had a great life with his wife of 58 years. He will be missed.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Brenda D’Onofrio; children: Tina, Nicholas (Jeannine), Andrew (Shawna), Michael (Nicola), and Mark (Kim); seventeen grandchildren; as well as thirteen great-grandchildren.
Bill was predeceased by his son Michael and grandson Christopher.
